District Race

Some years the district will hold a race for the top cars from all the packs in the district.  The top 3 cars from our pack will be eligible to compete in this race should it be held. One thing to consider is your car’s wheelbase.  The stock slots are at 4.5” but our pack rules allow for a wheel base to be up to 5.38”.  The district race may be stricter with their allowable wheelbase so plan accordingly.

Race Day Attire

Please remember to wear your class A uniform on Sunday. We will be taking den pictures for the SRE yearbook, and pictures of the winning scouts with their cars.

2017 Pinewood Derby Results

Great race yesterday.  Below are the top racers in the pack with the full race results listed in the attached files.

Talk about a close race.  The difference between 1st and 2nd place was .0014 seconds and the difference between 1st and 3rd place was .0050 seconds.

For now it looks like the Bear den is the one to beat but the competition isn't far behind.  Grant Culver and Chase Culver from the Tiger den each had times under 3 seconds and could be even better next year.
