Our pack is part of The Greater Tampa Bay Council, Miccosukee District. We participate in the Pinewood Derby, several camping trips throughout the year. We also do several community service projects in the Tarpon Springs area.

Cub scouts are boys (ages 6 years old - 11 years old) or boys who are Kindergarten - 5th grade. The first badge they earn before any other badge regardless when they start is the Bobcat Badge. Here the boys learn the Scout Oath and the Scout Law. They will also learn how to do the cub scout hand shake, cub scout motto, cub scout salute and cub scout sign. When a boy finishes Kindergarten he will earn his Lion Badge. The Tiger Badge is when the first graders have graduated. The Wolf badge is earned when the Second graders have graduated. The Bear badge is earned when the student has finished Third grade. When the student enters into Fourth grade they become a Webelos when the boy has finished his requirement for the Webelos he may begin on his Arrow of Light which is the highest level for cub scouts to earn.

The 12 Core Values Of Cub Scouting

Character can be defined as the collection of core values possessed by an individual that leads to moral commitment and action. Character is "values in action."

The Cub Scouting Character Connections Program identifies 12 core values:

Citizenship: Contributing service and showing responsibility to local, state, and national communities.

Compassion: Being kind and considerate, and showing concern for the well-being of others.

Cooperation: Being helpful and working together with others toward a common goal.

Courage: Being brave and doing what is right regardless of our fears, the difficulties, or the consequences.

Faith: Having inner strength and confidence based on our trust in God.

Health and Fitness: Being personally committed to keeping our minds and bodies clean and fit.

Honesty: Telling the truth and being worthy of trust.

Perseverance: Sticking with something and not giving up, even if it is difficult.

Positive Attitude: Being cheerful and setting our minds to look for and find the best in all situations.

Resourcefulness: Using human and other resources to their fullest.

Respect: Showing regard for the worth of something or someone.

Responsibility: Fulfilling our duty to God, country, other people, and ourselves

Throughout this time frame the scouts have learned many valuable skills that will go with them the rest of their scouting endeavors. As they continue with scouting the skills build each year as like the previous years. The boys will have learned valuable life skills that will help them become successful in their future.
