Welcome to Troop 60 in Owego, NY

We are a Scout-led, adult-guided Troop of 83 Scouts, based in Owego, NY.  We have a great time with the Troop, in Patrols, as we camp and cook outdoors, earn Merit Badges, learn and develop new skills, help build Eagle Scout projects and take part in our local community activities. Our Troop meetings are held on Wednesdays from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at LDS Church in Owego.

Here is a preview of some exciting events we have planned:

  • Weekly Troop meetings, learning new skills and earning Merit Badges.
  • Klondike Polar Bear Derby, with ice climbing, sled dogs, snow caves and other fun winter activties. (January)
  • Greek Peak Overnight. Includes tubing, skiing, Gravity Coaster, zip lining, and more. (February)
  • Washington DC- Smithsonian, Arlinton, and more. (March)
  • Volunteering Opportunities including the Strawberry Festival. (June)
  • Troop campouts at several local locations.
  • Summer Camp at Camp Tuscarora with over 500 other scouts. (July)
  • ADK Fall hiking.
  • National Scout Jamboree with over 30,000 other scouts. (We had a great time last year.)

This is a perfect time to transition from Cub Scouts or Webelos into our Troop, or to join Scouting for the first time!
